Arsenal are considering a summer swoop for Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, according to Sports Boom.

The Premier League title contenders are expected to strengthen their frontline in the off-season as they look to compete with the best in Europe.

This comes despite the club splashing the cash in the final third last year, bringing in Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze from Sporting CP, Chelsea and Crystal Palace, respectively.

Arsenal eyeing left-wing investment

And a player who can operate on the left flank is a priority for the north London side with both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard struggling to nail down the role.

The Gunners are prepared to listen to offers for the Brazilian, who has been linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

Arsenal are now considering pursuing the Germany international as they seek to invest further in attack.

Adeyemi has struggled for regular minutes for the Bundesliga outfit this season and has registered just 15 league starts under Niko Kovac.

As such, Dortmund may entertain the idea of cashing in on the 24-year-old, who has netted just seven league goals in the 2025-26 Bundesliga campaign.

However, it would take an offer of around €60m to convince Dortmund to sell Adeyemi, though they may be forced to accept a lower fee with the striker’s contract up next summer.

Man Utd’s priorities lie elsewhere

Additionally, Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Adeyemi ahead of their expected Champions League return next season.

That said, United’s priority is central midfield, with the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Adam Wharton and Ederson linked with an Old Trafford switch this summer.

Arsenal will hope to return to the top of the Premier League this weekend when they welcome Newcastle to the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta’s side dropped to second in midweek after Manchester City claimed a 1-0 win over Burnley in midweek having defeated the Gunners 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday.
